“I wish I’d started sooner.”

I hear this every single week.
And it’s not about wanting to look twenty again.
It’s about wishing they hadn’t waited until things felt too far gone.
You know the drill. You spot the first little changes — lines, tiredness, sagging.
You tell yourself it’s fine, it’s just age, you’ll deal with it later.
You spend years brushing it off.

Then one day, you wake up and it’s not “a little line” anymore.
It’s deeper. It’s set in. And now you’re panicking, thinking, “If only I’d started back then.”
And that regret cuts deep. Because you realise you could have felt better all this time. You could have had the confidence in your 30s and 40s, not just start clawing it back now.
It’s the same with fitness, skincare, health — we all put it off, thinking we’ll deal with it tomorrow. Until tomorrow turns into a decade.
But here’s the thing: the second-best time to start is today.
Every single person who tells me “I wish I’d started sooner” also says, “I can’t believe I waited this long.” Because the lift they get — mentally, emotionally — is instant.
So yes, maybe you didn’t start at 30. Maybe you didn’t start at 40. But do you know what’s worse? Sitting there at 60 still saying, “I wish I’d started sooner.”
At some point, you’ve got to stop looking backwards and just start.
