Updated: Jun 29

Japanese Natural Facelift in Dublin - The Sorensen Method at MADA Clinic

A natural, non-invasive alternative to injectables and surgical facelifts - using expert hands and one of the most established facial reflexology systems in the world.

If you’re looking for a way to lift, sculpt and refresh the face without needles, machines or downtime, the Japanese Natural Facelift is one of the most recognised holistic facial techniques within advanced manual therapies today.

At MADA Clinic and Spa in Smithfield, Dublin 7, we are proud to offer one of the only authentic treatments in Dublin based on the Sorensen Method - part of the Sorensensistem™ developed by Danish reflexologist Lone Sorensen, who began her work in 1978 and has spent over four decades developing facial reflexology and manual therapy systems used internationally.

This is not a generic facial massage. It is a structured, internationally taught method - and one of the most established systems in facial reflexology and neuro-reflex therapy worldwide.

What is the Sorensen Method?

The Sorensensistem™ is a comprehensive system of facial reflexology and neuro-reflex techniques developed over decades of practice, research and international teaching.

It combines:

facial reflexology

• lymphatic drainage techniques

• acupressure

• manual facial lifting methods

• Japanese-inspired facial massage principles, including influences from traditional Tanaka techniques

The Japanese Cosmo Lifting method was developed as the aesthetic branch of this system during the late 1990s, as part of the ongoing evolution of Sorensensistem™.

How it works

  • Facial muscle stimulation. Precise manual techniques help activate facial muscles, supporting a more lifted, toned and defined appearance over time.

  • Lymphatic drainage

Gentle movements support lymphatic flow and help reduce facial puffiness, especially around the eyes, cheeks and jawline.

  • Circulation support

Improved blood flow helps the skin appear brighter, fresher and more radiant.

Facial reflexology techniques

Specific facial points are stimulated within the Sorensensistem™ framework, traditionally associated with relaxation and overall wellbeing.

Nervous system relaxation

The treatment is deeply relaxing and many clients experience a noticeable release of facial and jaw tension.

What results can you expect?

Most clients notice:

• a fresher, more lifted appearance after a session

• reduced facial puffiness

• relaxed facial tension (jaw, forehead, eye area)

• improved skin glow and tone

• a deep sense of relaxation and reset

Results vary depending on the individual and frequency of treatments.

Who is this treatment for?

The Japanese Natural Facelift is suitable for:

• clients looking for a natural, non-invasive facial lifting method

• people preferring manual therapies instead of injectables

• those experiencing facial tension or stress

• clients seeking a combination of skin treatment and deep relaxation

Not suitable for:

• active acne

• active rosacea

• eczema in active phase or other inflammatory skin conditions

• skin infections or open wounds

• recent Botox or dermal fillers (recommended 4–6 week waiting period)

• recent facial surgery

• epilepsy

• pacemaker
