Japanese Natural Facelift in Dublin — The Lone Sörensen Method at MADA Clinic
A natural, non-invasive alternative to Botox, fillers and surgery — using just expert hands and the power of an internationally renowned holistic technique.
If you've been searching for a way to lift, sculpt and rejuvenate your face without needles, without machines, and without downtime, you may already have come across the term natural facelift. There are many treatments using that name in Dublin — but very few are the real thing.
At MADA Clinic and Spa in Smithfield, Dublin 7, we offer the Japanese Natural Facelift using the Lone Sörensen Method — one of the most respected non-invasive lifting techniques in the world, taught and accredited internationally, and now available right here in Dublin 7.
This is not a facial. This is not a relaxing massage with marketing language attached. It is a precise, technique-driven holistic facelift protocol — and our clients are seeing genuine, visible results from it.
What Is a Japanese Natural Facelift?
A Japanese Natural Facelift is a 100% holistic, hands-on facelift treatment that uses no injectables, no machines, no chemical peels and no aggressive products. The lifting work is done entirely through skilled technique — specifically through facial muscle stimulation, lymphatic drainage, acupressure, and reflexology.
The version we offer at MADA Clinic is built around the Lone Sörensen Method (also known as Sorensensistem™ Japanese Cosmo Lifting) — created by world-renowned Danish reflexologist Lone Sörensen in 1999, after she trained directly with a Japanese doctor in the traditional Tanaka massage technique.
This is the same method now taught in over 30 countries and accredited by the Irish Reflexologists' Institute (IRI), the American Reflexology Certification Board, the UK Federation for Holistic Therapists, and the Danish DDZ.
When you choose this treatment at MADA, you're choosing an internationally recognised, evidence-based natural facelift protocol — not a generic "facial massage" with a fashionable name.
Why People in Dublin Are Choosing a Natural Facelift Over Botox
We're seeing more and more Dublin clients looking for a real, effective alternative to injectables. Here's why the Japanese Natural Facelift is becoming the treatment of choice for so many:
No needles. No injections, no risk of bruising, no waiting for swelling to settle.
No frozen look. Your face still moves, smiles, frowns and expresses naturally.
No long-term commitment to repeat injections. Filler and Botox require ongoing top-ups indefinitely.
Suitable for sensitive skin. Including rosacea, eczema, post-acne and reactive skin types that can't tolerate aggressive treatments.
Whole-body benefits. The reflexology component balances your nervous system, reduces stress, and supports overall wellbeing.
No downtime. You walk in tired and leave glowing — fit to go back to work or out for the evening.
Holistic and pressure-free. No one telling you you "need" anything. Just a beautiful, restorative treatment.
It's not that Botox is wrong for everyone. It's that many Dublin clients are choosing a more natural, sustainable, wellbeing-focused path — and this is the gold standard in that category.
Who Is Lone Sörensen?
Lone Sörensen is the world's most respected facial reflexology expert. A Danish therapist with over three decades of clinical research, she has been developing facial reflex therapy since 1988 and created the Japanese Cosmo Lifting method in 1999.
Her first meeting with the Japanese tradition came during a Beauty Congress in Buenos Aires, where she studied the Tanaka Massage technique with a Japanese doctor. She combined those Japanese gymnastic movements with her own Face Reflex Therapy — creating a single protocol that lifts and tones the face while balancing the body's deeper systems through reflexology.
The Lone Sörensen International School is internationally accredited, and only certified practitioners can authentically deliver the method. That's important — there's a big difference between someone trained in the actual Sörensensistem™ method and someone using the name loosely.
How the Japanese Natural Facelift Works
Unlike conventional anti-ageing treatments that work on your skin from the outside (creams, peels, lasers), the Japanese Natural Facelift works with your face from the inside out. Here's what's happening during your session:
Facial Muscle Stimulation
The face has more than 40 muscles, and most are underused. As we age, these muscles weaken and the soft tissue above them descends — creating the look of jowls, sagging cheeks and a "fallen" face. The lifting massage in the Lone Sörensen method works your facial muscles like a gym session, retraining them, restoring tone, and rebuilding their natural lifted position.
Lymphatic Drainage
Stagnant lymph causes puffiness, dullness and that "tired" look around the eyes and jawline. Precise drainage movements flush excess fluid and toxins out of the face, leaving you visibly sculpted and refreshed in a single session.
Increased Blood Circulation
Boosting blood flow delivers oxygen and nutrients to the skin, supporting natural collagen and elastin renewal. Your skin looks plumper, more luminous, and healthier-toned afterwards.
Facial Reflexology — 25 Acupressure Points
The method stimulates around 25 acupressure points on the face. Each one is connected, through the central nervous system, to specific organs, hormonal glands and body systems. This is why clients often report feeling not just more beautiful but more balanced after a session — better sleep, less anxiety, improved digestion, fewer tension headaches.
Nervous System Reset
The face contains a dense network of nerves sitting just below the brain. Skilled facial stimulation is one of the most direct ways to calm the central nervous system. The deep relaxation you'll feel is real, measurable, and lasting.
What Results Can You Expect?
Clients who choose the Japanese Natural Facelift at MADA Clinic typically experience:
A visible lift to the cheeks, jawline and brow after a single session
Reduced fine lines and wrinkles over a course of treatments
Improved skin tone, firmness and elasticity
A brighter, more radiant complexion
Reduced facial puffiness and eye bags
Released tension in the jaw, neck and shoulders
Deep relaxation — many clients say it's more restful than a full body massage
Hormonal and emotional balance through the reflexology component
A natural, stress-free, ongoing alternative to injectable treatments
The natural lifting effect typically lasts from 24 hours to several days after a single session, making it perfect as a pre-event "glow up" before a wedding, party, photoshoot or important meeting. With a series of treatments, the effects become longer-lasting and cumulative as facial muscle tone is rebuilt over time.
Who Is This Treatment For?
The Japanese Natural Facelift is suitable for:
Women and men of all ages — from late twenties (prevention) through to mature skin (restoration)
People looking for a natural alternative to Botox, fillers or surgical facelifts
Anyone with sensitive, reactive, rosacea-prone or acne-prone skin who can't tolerate aggressive treatments
People dealing with chronic stress, poor sleep or tension that shows up in the face
Those preparing for a wedding, special event or photoshoot
Anyone craving a genuine moment of rest, ritual and wellbeing in their week
It is not suitable immediately after recent injectables (Botox, hyaluronic acid filler, fat transfer — wait at least 4 weeks), facial surgery, fresh wounds, or active skin infections. We assess everyone individually at your consultation.

How Often Should You Have a Japanese Natural Facelift?
It depends on your goals:
For a special occasion — a single session 1 to 3 days before the event for a beautifully lifted, glowing look
For visible anti-ageing results — Lone Sörensen recommends 2–3 sessions in the first week, then weekly treatments, gradually moving to maintenance
For ongoing wellbeing and prevention — once or twice a month works beautifully
As part of a wider treatment plan — many of our clients pair it with their IPL programme or skincare regimen, since it's gentle enough to complement everything we do at MADA
How It Pairs with Other MADA Treatments
One of the best things about the Japanese Natural Facelift is how seamlessly it works alongside our other clinical offerings:
After IPL with Nordlys — the lymphatic drainage soothes any residual warmth and accelerates skin recovery
Alongside AlumierMD homecare — deep facial massage enhances product absorption and supports your active ingredients
For rosacea clients — a 100% gentle, non-stimulating option for skin that needs calm, hands-on care
For high-stress clients — pair it with our massage menu for a complete reset day

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Japanese Natural Facelift really an alternative to Botox? Yes — for many people, it's a genuine alternative. While it works differently from Botox (which paralyses muscles to soften wrinkles), the Lone Sörensen method lifts and tones by strengthening facial muscles and improving circulation, lymph flow and skin quality. Many of our clients use it instead of injectables, and others use it to extend the time between top-ups.
How long do the results last? A single session typically delivers visible lift and glow lasting 24 hours to several days. With a course of treatments, results become longer-lasting and cumulative as facial muscle tone strengthens over time.
Is it painful? Not at all. It is deeply relaxing — many clients fall asleep during it. The technique uses precise, intentional movements but never anything uncomfortable.
Can I have it if I have rosacea or sensitive skin? Yes — it's one of the few facial treatments genuinely suitable for rosacea, sensitive and reactive skin. No heat, no actives, no aggression. We always assess individually at consultation.
Can I have it after Botox or filler? We recommend waiting at least 4 weeks after injectable treatments before having the Japanese Natural Facelift, to avoid disrupting the placement of the product.
Is this the same as Kobido massage? No. Both are Japanese facelift traditions but they are different methods. The Lone Sörensen Method uniquely combines facial reflexology, Japanese gymnastic massage, and the Tanaka technique into one cohesive, internationally accredited protocol.
How quickly will I see results? Most clients see visible lift, glow and reduced puffiness immediately after their first session — often dramatically. Long-term anti-ageing results build with a course of treatments.
